CleverGiver Helps Prevent Child Abuse, Habitat for Humanity, and Many Others

Since our last post in April, we’ve been really busy with helping more and more nonprofits raise money through us. Today we’re excited to highlight some of our newcomers. Prevent Child Abuse America

This noble nonprofit is dedicated to helping children and families thrive. Founded in 1972 in Chicago, Prevent Child Abuse America works to promote the healthy development of children and prevent child abuse before it occurs. Their 48-state chapter network promotes the kind of strategies and activities that make a difference locally, as well as nationally, assisting nearly 100,000 families a year.

Habitat for Humanity LA

Their Mission Statement proclaims that “seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.” Shelter being a basic human need, “Habitat for Humanity strives to achieve its goal of eliminating substandard housing by making decent, sustainable, and affordable housing a reality for all.”

Food Finders (part of United Way)

As they themselves put it “Food Finders Food Bank collaborates with other organizations to provide food for people in need and to educate, advocate and address food insecurity in North Central Indiana.” Funded by United Way, foundations, grants, the USDA, corporations, sponsors, and individual donors, Food Finders Food Bank annually distributes more than 9 million pounds of food to alleviate hunger throughout North Central Indiana.

A Spring of Hope

This international non-governmental organization is focusing on providing rural South African schools with clean water sources, permaculture gardening methods, waterless sanitation solutions.

Michael Feger Paralysis Foundation

Founded in 2010, MFPF’s mission is to help people who have paralysis in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. They provide assistance and educational materials to people affected by spinal cord injury and related diseases. Their mission is to raise awareness about spinal cord injury and disease through education, provide assistance to people who have a spinal cord injury or disease, and help them move forward in a life of independence, health, and personal fulfillment.

Free for Life International

Free for Life International works to combat human trafficking by focusing on four areas: border monitoring stations, scholarships, shelters, sustainability. Theri mission is expressed as follows: “The identification, assistance, and restoration of human trafficking victims and survivors.”

Youth Emergency Services & Shelter of Iowa

Founded back in 1973, this organization ensures that each year, over 1,000 young people receive emergency shelter and support at YESS. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, YESS has become the emergency room for families – one that heals the emotional wounds afflicting so many.

Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency

Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS) is dedicated to helping homeless, poor, and disabled people achieve health and self-sufficiency, and to fighting against the root causes of poverty and homelessness. They searve nearly 1,500 homeless people each year, providing housing, health, economic development, and social justice programs that create opportunity and hope.
